Palaios Panteleimonas is a traditional mountainous village with stone-built houses, restored according to the local Macedonian architecture. Resting on an altitude of 500 metres, the village is placed on the slopes of Olympus. The amphitheatric view of the Aegean Sea and the seashore of Pieria is stunning.
The village is a perfect location from which you can explore the surrounding National Park of Olympus. A few shops offer hand-made traditional delicacies and natural products such as spoon sweets, home made jams, flower honey, herbs and spices that you can sample and buy. Local tavernas offer traditional drink tsipouro made with cranberries, gathered from Mountain Olympus.
